Connected Clue is a premium adventure game for PC developed by Alpheratz Games. It is a pixel art detective mystery experience featuring a distinct quarter-view presentation and takes inspiration from popular 19th-century novels for its setting and story. In it, players will take on the role of a young sleuth tasked with solving a mysterious crime. 

Comparable to games like The Roottrees are Dead or The Drifter, Connected Clue’s gameplay revolves around procedural investigation and witness interrogations to get to the truth of the matter. It will require deductive reasoning and quick wits to outsmart and apprehend the culprits responsible for the crime. 

Robbery mystery 

In Connected Clue, you play as Diana, a rookie detective who has been put in charge of investigating a daring bank robbery. The culprits in question managed to escape with all the cash, as well as a priceless treasure from the vault. You will need to follow their trail and piece together the clues to find and catch them before they completely slip your grasp. 

Conduct thorough investigations of multiple crime scenes to collect important clues, as well as question key witnesses and possible suspects. Utilize your diverse selection of investigative tools to help you collect evidence and crack complex ciphers to reveal hidden information, such as names and locations. Build your Detective’s Wall with everything you've collected and deduce who the culprits are, and confront them with the bad deeds. 

In some instances, you may need to get creative with your inquiries by sneaking into heavily guarded locations or tailing potential suspects without being noticed. If confrontations are unavoidable, engage in turn-based combat and take out enemies. Having said all that, the actual gameplay experience in Connected Clue is somewhat ho-hum and lackluster, with some tedious detective moments and a forgettable story.
